R. V. Hammond

  Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 26, for Raymond V.
Hammond, 55, who accidentally drowned on a fishing trip
Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Haddens Ferry. The services were conducted
at Beech Grove Methodist Church, with burial in the church
cemetery, under the direction of Hixon Funeral Home of Leesville.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Agnes Hammond of Anacoco; two
sons, Willie of Houston, and Raymond of Anacoco; one daughter,
Miss Mary Hammond of Houston; one brother, Burton Hammond of West
Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. J. J. Morgan of Jasper, Tex., and Mrs.
Perry Allen Sanders of Ringgold; stepmother, Mrs. Rose Gainey of
Henderson, Tex.; and one grandchild.
