Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1 at First Baptist Church in Leesville with interment following at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The Rev. E. J. Bradshaw officiated. Mrs. Harvey was a native of Fort Jesup and had lived in Leesville for the past 53 years. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday teacher, Training Union teacher, GA's director and she was a secretary for the Adult 6 & 7 Sunday School class for 37 years. Mrs. Harvey was also a member of the DMA Club of First Baptist Church and a charter member of the Retired Railroaders. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dixie (James) Cook and Ms. Dale (Clay) Tillman, both of Shreveport, and Mrs. Donna (Keith) Milam of DeRidder; one brother, Douglas Howard of Many; one sister, Dottie Boone of Iowa; four grandchildren, Brandy Christy, Wendy Lee, Nancy Brown Tillman and Clay Tillman III; two great-grandchildren, Beau Cook and Corie Cook. Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by her husband, D. W. "Red" Harvey; grandson, David Cook; one sister, Dorothea Edward; son-in-law, Clay Tillman, and her parents.
