She was born in Zwolle, La., Nov. 11, 1909. She was a retired school teacher, and was a member of Retired Teachers' Association, and Madison County Women's Republican Club. Survivors include three sons, Jack Barry Harper of Anderson, Richard Allan Harper of Troy, N. Y., William Douglas Harper of Westport, Conn.; two brothers, Jack Heard, and Aaron Heard, both of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Myrtle Mitchell of Houston, Texas, and Maudie Sibley, and Annie Lee Clapper, both of Zwolle, La.; and three grandchildren. Services were held at 11:10 a.m., Monday, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, with the Rev. E. E. Sivis officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
