Harberts Services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, for Mr. Dean L. Harberts, 72, of Shreveport, Saturday, July 18, at 12 noon. Officiating were Father Govie Moraus of St. John Berchmans Cathedral Catholic Church. Interment was held at Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. He entered into rest Thursday, July 16, at Highland Hospital, after a brief illness. Mr. Harberts was a veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion Post #14, and the Carpenter's Union. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Lucy Harberts of Shreveport; sisters, Faye E. Huscher of McLouth, Kansas, and Merlin M. Harberts of Chula Vista, Calif.; brothers, Ralph D. Harberts of Beattie, Kansas, and Glenn A. Harberts of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Stevie Leone, Doug Leone, Kent Orrell, Michael Remedies, George Fleenor, Billy Sanders, Duddley Sanders. In lieu of flowers, make donations to the American Heart Association.
