Interment was at Harper's Chapel Cemetery, Hemphill, Tex., under the direction of Starr Funeral Home. Mr. Harper passed away Tuesday, August 6, at Conroe Regional Medical Center, Conroe, Tex. He was born January 12, 1934, in Hemphill, Tex. He was a construction superintendent, and a veteran of the U. S. Army, and the Korean conflict. Survivors include his mother, Sally Speight Ward of Many; sons, Michael Aaron Harper of Silsbee, Tex., Jimmy T. Harper of Magnolia Springs, Tex.; daughters, Sonya Lynn Moore of Pt. Neches, Tex., and Tablau Sue Ferguson of Fred, Tex.; stepdaughters, Billie Broussard of Baytown, Tex., Marcia Lafour, also of Baytown, Tex., Mary Lane of Longview, Tex.; brothers, Joe Harper of Navarro, Tex., Johnny Harper of Port Heights, Tex.; sisters, Rose Burns of Many; Mabel Corley, also of Many; 13 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
