Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, at the First Baptist Church in Diana, Texas, with interment following at Reed Cemetery. The Rev. Gary May officiated. Mrs. Harris was born on May 4, 1914, in Hornbeck, to K. P. "Son", and Pearly Snell, and spent most of her life there before moving to Diana, Texas in 1978. She served as a cafeteria worker for the Hornbeck Independent School District, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Diana, Texas. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sudie and Herbert Meshell of Diana, Texas; grandchildren and their spouses, Janice and Donald Vickery of Diana, Texas, Herby and Gail Meshell of Diana, Texas, Vonita and Chris William of Harleton, Texas; nine great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; brother, Darwin Snell of Huntsville, Texas; sisters, Ocie Lee Parker of Hornbeck, Pearl Lockhart of Houston, Texas, and Grace Brull of Pearland. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents. The family has requested that those desiring to do so, make memorial donations to The Building Fund at the First Baptist Church of Diana, P. O.
