The Rev. Gerald Bishop officiated. Burial was in Marthaville Cemetery, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La. She died Friday, Sept. 16, 1983, at Clemson Downs Health Care Center in Clemson, S. C. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Marthaville, La., and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Northwestern University in Natchitoches, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Louisiana State University. She taught at Northwestern State University for four years, before going to Washington, D. C., and was Administrative Assistant to two Louisiana congressmen, before retiring in 1963. She married the late Derwood D. Harrison from Pantego, N. C., in Washington, D. C., in 1943. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Georgia I. Coker of Sumter, S. C., Mrs. Maggie I. Crump of Alexandria, La., Mrs. Louie I. Brock of Converse, La.; and Mrs. Myrtis I. Durham of Oakdale, La.; one brother, Murray J. Ingram of Tioga, La. Pallbearers were J. W. Ingram, Joe Ingram, Jerry Ingram, Melvin Carter, John Brock, and Raymond Hennigan. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Fund, or charity of donor's choice.
