The Sabine Index - James Samuel Howard

  11 Oct 1957 - Funeral services for James Samuel Howard, age 73,
who died at Sabine clinic, Zwolle Sunday, Oct. 6 was conducted at
the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints at
2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 with Elder Gibert Conner officiating,
assisted by Elder Raymond I. Muse.

  Interment was in the Fort Jesup cemetery under the direction of
Warren Funeral home.

  Survivors are wife, Mrs. J. S. Howard of Many; daughter, Mrs.
Porter Buckelew of Jonesboro; brother, Henry Howard of Many;
sisters, Mrs. O. M. Thornberry of Memphis, Tenn. and Mrs. H. F.
Hodges of Shreveport, 9 grandchildren and 15 great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Douglas Howard, Dan Slay, Aaron Peterson,
Billy Ray Russell, Rufus Hayes and Clarence Keys.
