Mrs. Cora Heard

  Mrs. Cora Patrick Heard, 81, of Converse, died Monday, Sept. 16

  Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m., in the Fellowship
Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don Brown officiating. Burial was
in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral
Home.

  Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Paul Slaid of Converse; one
son, Harvey Patrick of Pineville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. C. R.
Nash Sr. of Woodville, Tex., and Mrs. Thelma Russell of
Leesville; on stepson, the Rev. Clark Heard of Leesville; one
brother, J. R. Nash Jr. of Port Arthur, Tex.; one sister, Mrs.
Jewel Valentine of Brookhaven, Miss.; two grandchildren, and two
great grandchildren.
