All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Richard Fayne "Dick" Hart Funeral services for Richard Fayne "Dick" Hart, of Converse, were held Saturday, Nov. 15, at 3:30 p.m., at the Rose-Neath Marshall St. Chapel in Shreveport. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, with Felton Pruitt, Tilman Franks, Douglas "Dobber" Johnson, Glenn Rachal, Roger Cotton, and James Doolittle, serving as pallbearers. Mr. Hart died Thursday, Nov. 13, at 1:40 a.m., at the LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, following a lengthy illness. He was 56. A well known country and western entertainer and songwriter, Mr. Hart had his own radio show on KWKH, and KARK, in Little Rock, Ark., and was a member of the Barnyard Frolic Family. He was a native of Forbing, and had lived in Converse for several years. He was a self-employed taxidermist. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rose Hart of Converse; his mother, Mrs. Norma Brown of Bossier City; one son, David Martin, and one daughter, Sylvia Jean Simon, both of Pasadena, Tex., five brothers, Clyde F. Hart Jr. of Broomfield, Colo., Eugene M. Hart of Albuquerque, N. M., Charles T. Hart Sr. of Houma, Clifton Hart of Angleton, Tex., and David Solomon of Bogalusa; and two grandchildren, Mike Simon, and Scott Simon, both of Pasadena, Tex.
