The Sabine Index - Robert Scott Heard

  24 Feb 1961 - Funeral services for Robert Scott Heard, age 86,
who passed away Feb. 15 were conducted at 11 a.m. Feb. 16 at
Fellowship Baptist church of Oak Grove with Rev. Kelly Fitzgerald
and Rev. Douglas Burnley officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove
cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Walter Brister, Jr., Walter Brister, Sr.,
Anthony Slaupas, Dwaine Heard, Leo McDonald, John B. McDonald,
Ray McDonald and Bobby McDonald.

  He was married to Alice Fuller, Nov. 24, 1895, who proceeded him
in death in 1915.

  Survivors are sons, J. B. Heard of Logansport; daughters, Mrs.
Clara McDonald of Converse, Mrs. Eva H. McDonald of Many, Mrs.
Annie Bell Erickson and Mrs. Marie Glaupas, both of Port Arthur,
Mrs. Mamie Brister of Bunkie; brothers John E. and S. N. Heard of
Mansfield; sisters, Mrs. Sallie Leysath and Mrs. Ruth Magee both
of Converse, and 23 grandchildren.
