Texie Sudie Bolton Heard

  Funeral services for Mrs. Texie Sudie Bolton Heard, age 97, of
Converse, were held Saturday, January 1, at 2:30 p.m., at the
Converse Baptist Church, Rev. Jerry Schmucker, and Rev. James
Miller officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

  Arrangements were under the direction of Dewett Funeral Home in
Mansfield.

  She died at 5 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 30, 1982, in Baton Rouge,
following a brief illness.

  She is survived by her two sons, Mr. J. N. Heard of Bedford,
Tex., and Hamp Heard of Converse; three daughters, Mrs. Faye H.
Mellec of Irving, Tex., Mrs. Mary Ammons of Baton Rouge, and Mrs.
Erble Heard Hall of Converse; two brothers, Mr. W. M. Bolton of
DeRidder, and Bryan Bolton of Jamestown; eight grandchildren;
nine great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
