Douglas Heard

  Mr. Douglas Heard, 74, of Many, died in Shreveport on Friday,
May 2, 1986, at 4:30 p.m.

  Funeral services were held at Bethsadia Baptist Church, on
Sunday, May 4, 1986, at 2 p.m., with Bro. Dan Jones, and Bro.
Allen Miller officiating. Burial was in Bethsadia Cemetery, under
the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vivian B. Heard of Many; three
sons, Buford C. Heard of Zwolle, Huey R. Heard of Pearland, Tex.,
and Joel Heard of Many; two daughters, Mrs. Melba Howard of
Belmont, and Mrs. Becky McConathy of Mansfield; two brothers,
John Heard of Florien, and Bill Heard of West Monroe; 16
grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by one daughter, Mrs. Exie Strickland.

  The pallbearers were all grandsons.
