Virginia Ethel Heard (Photo)

  Funeral services for Virginia Ethel Heard, 83, were held at 11
a.m., Dec. 18, at Warren Meadows Chapel.

  Dr. Calvin Cantrell, Dean M. L. Agnew, and Canon Larry Williams
officiated. Interment was in Florien Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Heard passed away on Dec. 18, 1994, at Schumpert Hospital,
Shreveport.

  Mrs. Heard was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen
Heard; one daughter, Willie Ethel; and two grandchildren.

  Survivors included five daughters, Bonnie and husband Henry Burk
of Zachary, Lucy and husband Doyle Grant of Longview, Tex.,
Johnnie and husband Merel Branam, and Linda and husband Tom Watts
of Shreveport, Beth and husband David Cantrell of Atlanta, Ga.;
one son, James and wife Kay Heard of Shreveport; three sisters,
Gladys Martin of Many, Violet Stanley of Provencal, and Earl
Smith of Florien; three brothers, J. A. Frantom, and J. T.
Frantom, both of Vivian, and Lawrence Frantom of Pineville;
eighteen grandchildren; and twenty seven great grandchildren.
