Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m., in the Fellowship Baptist Church, with the Rev. Melvin Prothro, and the Rev. Reece Sanders officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Coyt Smith of Port Arthur, and Mrs. Mildred McComic of Nederland; two sons, T. N. Howard of Port Arthur, and Billie Howard of Groves, Tex.; stepmother, Mrs. Betty Nash of Rosepine; two brothers, C. R. Nash of Woodville, Tex., and Roy Nash of Groves, Tex. Also two stepbrothers, Homer Dixon of Port Neches, Tex., and Sam Dixon of Groves, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Heard of Converse, Mrs. F. L. Arnold of Nederland, and Mrs. A. R. Balentine of Brookhaven, Miss.; two stepsisters, Mrs. Lee Brooks of Anacoco, and Mrs. Virginia Strassoner of Rosepine; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
