Services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, June 2, in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bob Loftin, and the Rev. Ed Dillsworth officiating. Survivors include four sons, Thomas W. Hardee III, Joe Tucker Hardee, Hugh H. Hardee, and Robert Ray Hardee, all of Pleasant Hill; one daughter, Mrs. Sidney Sue Sanders of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, Mrs. R. A. Bryant of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. B. J. McMahon of Sacramento, Calif.; and 16 grandchildren. Mrs. Hardee's body was carried to the church on Monday, June 2, where it lay in state until 2 p.m. Mrs. Hardee was well loved by those who knew her. She was an active member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. For many years she taught Sunday School, and lead the youth in various activities, giving her time and support unselfishly. She has been a definite guiding Christian influence for the youth of the community. For many years, she and her husband, the late T. W. Hardee, owned and operated Hardee's General Merchandise. For the past few years, her children have operated the family business.
