Hardee Jr., 53, were held Thursday, at 11 o'clock, at the Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, with Rev. Bob Lawton, pastor, officiating. Mr. Hardee died suddenly Wednesday, at his home in Pleasant Hill. Mr. Hardee was a prominent merchant of Sabine Parish, operating Pleasant Hill's largest mercantile store. He was a director of the Bank of Pleasant Hill, and prominent in the civic affairs of the parish. He attended Washington, and Lee University in Lexington, Va. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, under the direction of the Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield. Surviving are widow, Mrs. T. W. Hardee Jr.; a daughter, Miss Sue Hardee, Pleasant Hill; sons, T. W. Hardee III, student at Louisiana Tech at Ruston, and Joe T., Hugh H., and Ray Hardee, all of Pleasant Hill; and a brother, Hugh Hardee of Pleasant Hill.
