He had been a resident of Bossier City for 10 years. Mr. Hardcastle was retired from the Air Force, and was a warehouse supervisor at Barksdale. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the Viet Nam War, and was a native of Campti in Natchitoches Parish. He was a member of Broadmoor Masonic Lodge 432, F&AM, Scottish Rite, El Karubah Shrine, and was a 32nd-degree Mason. He also was a member of the Greeters Unit of the Shrine. Masonic graveside rites were held. Officiating in services was Chaplain Harold Elliott of Barksdale. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Constance L. Hardcastle of Bossier City; five sisters, Mrs. Catherine Hodnett of Anacoco, Mrs. Mary Walker of Leesville, Mrs. Betty Prewitt of Hornbeck, Mrs. Jo Ella Burger of Navarre, Ohio, and Mrs. Pat Nolen of Leesville; and brother, James Hardcastle of Conroe, Tex.
