Hardin, 83, of Florien, died Sept. 6, after a short illness. Surviving relatives included four sons, W. L. Hardin of Cocoa, Fla., Ottis Hardin of Baytown, Tex., Harold Hardin of Houston, Tex., and Wilbern Hardin of Dallas, Texas; eight daughters, Mrs. Margie Brogden of Lake Charles, Mrs. Willie Mae Along of Courtland, N. Y., Mrs. Flo Howard of Leesville, Mrs. Shirley Stewart, and Mrs. Marie Whittington, both of Florien, Mrs. Hazel Hildebrand of Shreveport, Mrs. Thelma Miller of Many, and Mrs. Reda Parrott of Zwolle; four brothers, Leroy, Cleveland, and Rufus Lee, all of Florien, and Robert E. Lee of Many; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Salter of Florien, and Mrs. Henry Brantley of Many; 30 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Toro Baptist Church near Florien, Sept. 8, with the Rev. Jerry Arthur, the Rev. Perry Lassiter, and the Rev. Avon Cavanaugh officiating. Burial was in the Toro Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Hoy Lee, Tommy Corley, Clarence Conerly, Cleveland Chance, Sherry Chance, and Otto Corley.
