ARTHUR JAMES HORTON The Shreveport Times June 1993 Funeral services for Mr. Arthur James Horton, 81, will be at 10:00 am Thursday, June 17, 1993 at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark Crook, pastor of Temple Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Part West Cemetery. Mr. Horton died Tuesday, June 15, 1993 at the HCA Hightland Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Fisher, La. and had been a resident of Shreveport since 1963. He was a hardwood lumber inspector, a member of the Temple Baptist Cjhurch and a Mason, (Cedar Grove Lodge) Mr. Horton is survived by his wife, Eloice G. Horton of Shreveport; one daughter and son in law, Judy Pilcher and husband Tom of Shreveport; one granddaughter, Kelly Miller and jusbanc, James of Keithville, La.; two sisters, Ethel Frazier of Anacoco, La. and Edith Davis of Tucson, Az.; one special niece, Willie Mae Newkirk of Laurel, Ms. and a host of other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be A.T. Bunn, Jimmy LaFitte, Louis P. Pilcher, Jr., Jerry Alford, Jack Napier, and Robert Franklin.
