Town Talk, March 13, 1998 LEESVILLE -- Services for Willard L. Horton will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Beauregard-Vernon with the Revs. E.J. Dantin Jr. and Larry Whatley officiating. Burial will be in Fisher Cemetery, Fisher. Horton, 66, of Anacoco died Thursday, March 12, 1998, in Leesville. He was a native of Peason and retired deputy of the Vernon Parish Sheriff's Office. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include one son, Mike Horton of Anacoco; one daughter, Nelda Frost of Anacoco; six brothers, Ivy Lee Horton, Alvie Horton, Bill Horton and Willis M. Horton, all of Anacoco, Johnny Horton of Leesville and Cecil Horton of Houston, Texas; six sisters, Lucille Dixon, Estelle Burns and Elsie Clark , all of Anacoco, Dorothy Sanders of Mobile, Ala., Melba Prewitt of Anacoco and Miriam Eason of Many; and five grandchildren.
