W. T. Horton, 88, of Florien, died Thursday, (June 17, 1971).

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 2 pm in the Gandy Baptist Church
with the Rev. H.H. Tibbitts and the Rev. Howard Arnold officiating. 
Burial will be in the Florien Cemetery under the direction of the Warren 
Meadows Funeral Home.

Surviviors are his widow; eight daughters, Mrs. Linda Stroud, Mrs. Nancy
Carroll, Mrs. Lona Ford and Mrs. Bobbie Pitt, all of Florien.  Mrs.
Trudie Stroud of Shreveport, Mrs. Annie Mae Howell, Mrs. Maggie DuHamel
both of Stonewall Mrs. Billie Corley of New Llano; two brothers, Louis
Horton of Fisher and Hoyt Horton of Zwolle; 32 grandchildren and 54
great grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Lyndel Stroud, William Stroud, Tommy Carroll, Neal
Shields, Aubrey Ford, Lin Lindsay, Jack Corley and Robert Pitt.
