W. T. Horton

  W. T. Horton, 88, of Florien, died Thursday, June 17, after an extended
illness.

  Funeral services were held Friday, June 18, at 2 p.m., in the Gandy
Baptist Church, with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, and the Rev. Howard Arnold
officiating. Burial was in the Florien Cemetery, under the direction ofi
the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors are his widow; eight daughters, Mrs. Linda Stroud, Mrs. Nancy
Carroll, Mrs. Lona Ford, and Mrs. Bobbie Pitts, all fo Florien; Mrs. Trude
Stroud of Shreveport, Mrs. Annie Mae Howell, Mrs. Maggie DuHamel, both of
Stonewall, Mrs. Billie Corley of New Llano; two brothers, Louis Horton of
Fisher, and Hoyt Horton of Zwolle; 32 grandchildren, and 54
great-grandchildren.
