Maxwell C. Hortman

  Services for Maxwell Curtis Hortman, 65?, of Ida, were to be at
10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 2, at McGuire Funeral Home Chapel in
Vivian, with the Rev. Frank Ross, pastor of Bethsadia Baptist
Church in Ida, officiating. Burial followed in Bethsadia Cemetery
in Ida.

  The lifelong Ida resident died Tuesday, Oct. 9, at his
residence, after a long illness. He was a construction worker.

  Survivors include sisters, Ora Litton of Zwolle, Alvie Pearson
of Ida, Mrs. C. R. Festervan of Shreveport, and Myrtis Mallery of
Natchez, Miss.; and brother, Willie L. Hortman of Shreveport.
