John L. Horton

  Funeral services for John L. Horton of Noble, were held at the
Lakeview Baptist Church in Ebarb, on Friday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m.
The Rev. Walker Ledford, and the Rev. Paul Ferrant officiated.
Burial followed in the Noble Cemetery, under the direction of the
Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home of Coushatta.

  Serving as pallbearers were Chester Webb, Don Lambertson, Tatum
Black, Silas Ebarb, Marvin Ray Hutto, and Jimmy Sheffield.

  Mr. Horton died at 5:10 p.m., in Tuesday, Feb. 2, at the home of
his nephew, Bernanada Campbell of Keithville, following a lengthy
illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Lillie Beth Horton of Noble; two
sisters, Gladys Fine of Keithville, and Lilly Parker of Pelican;
one brother, Huey P. Horton of Odessa, Tex.; and a number of
nieces and nephews.
