All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Gertrude Moore Hartman Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude Moore Hartman, 93, were held Monday, April 9, at 2 p.m., in the Hixson Chapel in DeRidder. Interment followed at the Beauregard Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder. Rev. Stan Allcorn officiated. She died Saturday, April 7, at her residence. Mrs. Hartman was born in Spring Ridge, and resided in DeRidder for 26 years. She was a charter member, and first president of DeRidder Study Club. A member of D.A.R., and P.E.O., and was one of the first graduates of Louisiana Normal College, now known as Northwestern State College. She also did some post graduate work at Peabody College. Mrs. Hartman was an active member of First Baptist Church in DeRidder, where she was involved in the Sunday School Program, and W.M.U. She is survived by two sons, Mr. George B. Hartman Jr. of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. J. Ted Hartman of Lubbock, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Jean (Hartman) Belehrad of DeRidder; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; and two step great grandchildren.
