Hardin Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Jan. 22, for William H. Hardin, 85, of Florien, who died Tuesday, after a long illness. The services were held in the Toro Baptist Church, with the Rev. V. R. Miller, and Dr. Kelley Fitzgerald officiating. Masonic rites were held at the graveside. Burial was in the Toro Cemetery, with Warren Meadows Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include his widow; eight daughters, Mrs. Margie Brogden of Maplewood, Mrs. Willie Mae Along of Karmursel, Turkey, Mrs. Essie Howard of Leesville, Mrs. Shirley Stewart of Florien, Mrs. Mamie Whittington of Marietta, Texas, Mrs. Hazel Hildebrand of Shreveport, Mrs. Thelma Miller of Many, and Mrs. Reba Parrott of Zwolle; four sons, W. L. Hardin of Cocoa, Fla., Ottis Hardin of Baytown, Texas, George, and Harold Hardin of Houston, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Edd Sumpter of Lake Charles, Mrs. E. C. Reed Sr. of Texarkana, Texas, Mrs. Clyde Jordon, Mrs. Leroy Lee, and Miss Ellen Hardin, all of Florien; 31 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
