Dovie I. Herring

  Dovie I. Herring, 67, of Hornbeck, died Thursday morning, March
20, in a Beaumont, Texas hospital, after a long illness.

  Services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 22, in the First
Baptist Church of Hornbeck, with the Rev. Roy Dowden, and the
Rev. T. J. Crosby officiating. Burial was in Self Graveyard.

  Survivors include her husband, Herbert G. Herring of Hornbeck;
one son, Billie G. Herring of Vidor, Texas; one daughter,
Catherine Jeane of Nederland, Texas; five sisters, Essie Ellis of
Hornbeck, Myrtle Chance of Florien, Lovella White of Lake
Charles, Middie King of New Llano, and Irene Robison of Beaumont,
Texas; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
