Bessie Sweet Harrington

  Funeral services for Bessie Sweet Harrington, 62, of Many, were
held Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at New Home Baptist Church.
Officiating was Rev. Jacob Maxie. Interment was at New Jerusalem
Cemetery, under the direction of Thomas Mortuary.

  Mrs. Harrington died Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Sabine Medical Center.

  She is survived by three daughters, Kathey Preston, Narvella
Thomas, and Dorothy Harrington of Many; three sons, John W.
Harrington Jr. of Many, Edward Sweet, and Dwight Harrington of
Dallas, Texas.

  She is also survived by four sisters, Gennie Garner of Many,
Effie Scott of Zwolle, Dorothy Haynes of Dallas, Texas, Archie
Dorsey of Galveston, Texas; one brother-in-law, Welton Haynes of
Dallas, Texas; one son-in-law; two daughters-in-law; 20
grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces,
nephews, and friends.
