All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** ** Mrs. Vivian Edith Herrington (Photo) Mrs. Vivian Edith Herrington, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 17, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, from complications with pneumonia. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with interment following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The Rev. Roger Matkin will officiate. Mrs. Herrington and her husband had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. She also held the oldest membership at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Woodrow Herrington of Florien; two daughters, Barbara James and husband Billy of Alexandria, and Marguerite Martin and husband Ted of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Glen Herrington and wife Faye of Shreveport; three sisters, Maggie Lee McGee of Florien, Clydell Kile of Alexandria, and Robbie Raiford of Shreveport; one brother, Huey Dowden of Ft. Jesup; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be Eric Herrington, Danny James, John Sons, Richard Herrington, Steve Rhea, Dennis Bond, and Will Lynchard.
