Ulus P. Irby

  Ulus P. Irby, 84, of Florien, died in a Many Hospital,
Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 11:50 p.m., after a short illness.

  Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Nettie W. Irby of
Florien; three half sisters, Kattie Behan, Hornbeck, Lutie
Arthur, Florien, and Letha Leach, Natchitoches; and a number of
nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held in the Union Baptist Church, Friday,
Nov. 19, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. C. H. Welch, and the Rev. John
Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbarers were Don Wooley, Tom Dowden, Kenney Arthur, Gerald
Chance, Bobby J. Chance, and Conrad Wooley.
