Ernest Irvin Jeffers

  Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Irvin Jeffers, 79, were held on
Saturday, April 25, 1992, at 11 a.m., in the Promise Land
Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. B. G. Woodall officiated.
Interment followed in the Promise Land Cemetery, under the
direction of Jones-Barnett Funeral Home in Hamburg, Ark.

  Mr. Jeffers died on Thursday, April 23, 1992, at Ashley Memorial
Hospital in Crossett, Ark. He was a native of Calhoun County in
Arkansas, and a resident of Ashley County for over 50 years. He
was a member of the Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rosie King
Jeffers.

  Survivors include his Rosie Lee Johnson Jeffers of Hamburg,
Ark.; four daughters, Frances Hobbs of Many, Clara Carter of
Warren, Ark., Mattie Peebles of Thomson, Ga., and Betty Wells of
Hamburg, Ark.; one brother, Roy Jeffers of Oak Grove; thirteen
grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
