All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Edna Sweet Joseph Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Sweet Joseph, 92, of Many, were held Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m., at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. The Rev. Clois Rodgers officiated. Burial followed in the New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of Thomas Mortuary. Mrs. Joseph died Thursday, Oct. 5, at Sabine Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1903, in Sabine Parish, to the late Arch and Mary Sweet. At an early age, she accepted Christ, and later joined the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. She served her church faithfully, until her health failed. She was married to the late Hermon Joseph, and was the mother of eight children, three of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Mae Wysinger, and Mrs. Lorena Wysinger of Many; three sons, Willie Lee Joseph of Washington, and Herman (Euzie) Joseph, and Lewis Lee Joseph, both of Many; 32 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and other relatives.
