"Jake" Jacobs (Photo) Funeral services were held for Thomas W. Jacobs, at 11 a.m., Friday, May 30, in Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Jeff Hoffman, and Reverend Lawrence Hidalgo officiating. Musical offerings were "The Lord's Prayer", sung by Mike Morris of Many, and "Go Rest High on That Mountain", sung by Bradley McGaha, accompanied by Russell Peace, and Clint Anderson. Tommy died at his residence on Wednesday, May 28, following a lengthy battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He is survived by his children, Jennifer Pilcher, a student at NSU, and Mark Pilcher of Florien; his mother, Myrtle Jacobs Minor of Many; two sisters, Joni Newberg of Lafayette, and Gerry Barnes of Shreveport; three nephews, Todd Newberg of Lafayette, Steven Barnes, and Patrick Barnes of Shreveport; two nieces, Lisa Newberg of Lafayette, and Taylor Barnes of Shreveport. Mr. Jacobs was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Wayne Jacobs of Many. Pallbearers were Todd Newberg, Steven Barnes, Patrick Barnes, Dr. Michael Branch, Tracy Lites, and Ray Pellerin. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Jack Corley, Jack Phares III, Robby Lang, Dolph Williams, Pat Newberg, and Roger Barnes. Tommy Jacobs will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
