Officiating were the Rev. Sherman Mayfield, and the Rev. Bob Booth. Interment was in Langley Cemetery in Beckville, Texas, under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home of Tyler, Texas. Mrs. Jester died Friday, September 15, 1995, at her residence. Mrs. Jester was born November 24, 1940, and was the youngest of nine children. Mrs. Jester has lived in Tyler since 1991, and her occupation was a housewife. Mrs. Jester attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Leslie Murrell Jester of Tyler; seven sisters, Evelyn Orr of Pinehurst, Texas, Lois Nugent of Shreveport, Ruth Arnold of Henderson, Texas, Elsie Killian of Florien, Betty Sipes of Henderson, Marie Young of Longview, and Myrle Bates of Longview; one brother, Lee Roy Vice of Shreveport; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Frank Drury, Lloyd Peltier, Larry Barbee, Kenneth Joseph, Keith Head, and Claude Whitehead.
