W. R. Jackson 
  
  William Robert Jackson, 52, a prominent Vernon Parish attorney, 
died Saturday, Feb. 3, in a Houston hospital. 
  
  Jackson had served as attorney for the Sabine River Aughority of 
Louisiana, and was instrumental in land acquisition and 
construction of Toledo Bend Dam and reservoir. 
  
  Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 4, at 10 a.m., in the 
Hixson Funeral home. Burial was in the Leesville cemetery.
