Officiating was the Rev. Marshall Ingles, pastor of Lakeside Baptist Church in Converse. Graveside service was held at 3:30 p.m., in Woodard Cemetery, Taylor. Mrs. Jackson died Sunday, September 10, at 12:10 a.m., at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, following a short illness. She was born in Spearsville, was a former resident of Vivian, and a resident of Converse for eight years. Mrs. Jackson was a housewife, and a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Converse. She was also a member of Converse Chapter #218 Order of the Eastern Star. Eastern Star Rites were observed at the Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert J. Still Sr. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie E. Jackson of Converse; two sons, Robert J. Still Jr. and wife Kay of Austin, Texas, and Stanley T. Still and wife Brenda of Chestnut; one daughter, Barbara Ann Still of Houston, Texas; two step daughters, Mary Elizabeth Jackson of Alabama, and Sally Jo King of Stonewall; one step son, Lonnie E. Jackson Jr. of Blanchard; eleven grandchildren; three sisters, Catherine C. Leeth, and Martha C. Harrison, both of Keithville, and Mary Neill C. Powell of Sibley; a number of nieces, nephews; and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Jimmie Powell, Hunt Powell, Ronnie Reno, Horner Beede, J. C. West, and Billy Heard.
