Peter Burns Jackson

  Born, 1/6/1895, Many - Died 1/4/1993, Shreveport.

  Services for Peter Burns Jackson, 97, of Shreveport, were held
Wednesday, January 6, 1993, at 10 a.m., in Bethsadia Baptist
Church. The Rev. Charles Shufflin, and Ortha Greer officiated.
Burial was in Bethsadia Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Jackson, a native of Sabine Parish, died at 12:30 p.m.,
Monday, January 4, 1993, at Schumpert Hospital.

  He is survived by three daughters, Elaine Dew of Shreveport,
Ruby Cooper of Shreveport, and Imojean Groves of Liberty, Tex.;
two sisters, Evie Hines of Shreveport, Gladys McCollister of
Many. Mr. Jackson had 29 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren;
and 21 great-great grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Elmer Tramel; three sons,
Aubrey, Louis, and Leonard Jackson.

  Pallbearers were Johnny, Louis, and Ivy Jackson, Randy, and Dale
Pantalion, and Larry Otwell.
