Willie Jackson

  Willie Otto Jackson, 73, of Converse, died in a Converse
hospital, Thursday, after a brief illness.

  Funeral services were held Saturday, April 13, at 10 a.m., in
the First Baptist Church in Converse, with the Rev. Jack Byrd
officiating. Burial was in the Converse Cemetery, under the
direction of Drewett Funeral Home.

  Survivors are his widow; one son, Col. W. O. Jackson Jr. of
Tucson, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Marcantel, and
Brenda Sue Jackson, both of Scott, and Jennie Lou Jackson of
Converse; two stepsons, A. C. Scott, and Alvin Lon Scott of
Camel, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Hardee of Pleasant Hill,
and Mrs. L. E. Allen of Shreveport; and 11 grandchildren.
