Jett, 52, were held Wednesday, May 17, in the First Baptist Church in Hornbeck, with the Rev. Ken Goode officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bobby McCullough. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of the Vernon Funeral Home. Mr. Jett was a retired major in the U. S. Army, and was employed by the Civil Service at Ft. Polk. He died Tuesday, May 16. Survivors include his widow; two sons, Sgt. David Jett of Ft. Hood, and John Michael Jett of Hornbeck; two daughters, Mrs. Rickey Jones, and Miss Kathy Jett, both of Hornbeck; four brothers, H. B. Jett, and M. N. Jett, both of Lake Charles, F. C. Jett, and J. R. Jett, both of Hornbeck; two sisters, Mrs. Irene Conover, and Mrs. Ida Mae White, both of Hornbeck, and two grandchildren.
