Joseph Jett

  Joseph Jett, 63, of Provencal, died Monday, April 1, at his
residence, following a brief illness.

  Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, in
the Lewis Chapel Pentecostal Church in Marthaville, with the Rev.
E. L. Airhart officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery near
Florien, under the direction of the Blanchard funeral Home in
Natchitoches.

  Survivors include his widow; four stepsons, Travis Murray of
Alexandria, Jim, James, and Howard Murray, all of Provencal;
three step-daughters, Mrs. Cathy Talent of Bogalusa, Mrs. Bobbie
LaCour of Houston, Tex., and Dea Murry of Provencal; two sisters,
Mrs. Mary Savell of Florien, and Mrs. Edna Mae Dockens of
Houston, Tex.; and one grandchild.
