Jett Funeral services for William Alfred Jett, 66, of Lake Charles, were held at Boulevard Baptist Church, with the Rev. T. V. Owens, pastor, officiating, and burial was in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Jett died March 11, at his residence. A native of Florien, Mr. Jett lived in Lake Charles 26 years. He was a retired carpenter, member of Carpenter's Local 953. He was also a former Calcasieu Parish Deputy Sheriff. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vallie Cook Jett; six daughters, Mrs. L. J. Valmer of Birmingham, Mich., Mrs. B. J. O'Hara of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Frank Gilman, Mrs. E. E. Demerett, Mrs. J. R. Roberts, and Mrs. J. G. Herr, all of Lake Charles; a brother, Joseph J. Jett of Provencal; a sister, Mrs. Fred Savell of Florien; and 14 grandchildren.
