Everett Jett

  An elderly Hornbeck man was killed in a two car collision at
approximately 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 19, when the car he
and his wife were traveling in was hit by an 18 wheel log truck,
owned by Miller Trucking Co. of Florien. Killed instantly was
Everett Jett of Hornbeck.

  Billy Ray Knippers, Town Marshall of Hornbeck stated, "Jett
apparently pulled out in front of the log truck. It was a bad
deal, but the accident was unavoidable."

  Mrs. Jett is in a Leesville hospital in serious condition.

  "We can't give out any more information until we finish the
investigation", stated Knippers.
