Leon Jones

  Bro. Leon Jones of Florien, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, at
6 o'clock at the Veterans Hospital in Shreveport. He was transfered
to the Veterans Hospital after suffering a stroke early Saturday
morning.

  Funeral rites will be held today at 2 o'clock at the Bright Star
Baptist Church in Florien, with the Rev. Richard McNeal officiating.
Intermment will be in the Yellow Pine Community Cemetery, with
Jenkins Funeral Home in charge.

  He leaves to mourn his passing, his widow, Mrs. Levada Jones; one
sister, Mrs. Jessie Bell Norris, Florien; three brothers, Rev. D. A.
Jones, Shreveport; Murphy Jones, Oakland, Calif,; and Marvin Jones
of Beaumont.
