The Sabine Index - Mrs. Verna Jones

  8 May 1975 - Mrs. Verna Jones, 71, of Plainview died in Many on
Thursday, May 1, at 11:05 p.m. following an extended illness.

  Survivors include four sons, Harold Jones, Baton Rouge, Henry
D. Jones, Shreveport, Jessie R. Jones, Plainview, and Thomas A.
Jones, Sulphur; two daughters, Mrs. Mavis Fitzenreiter, Sulphur
and Mrs. Enid Brown, Keithville; two brothers, Clyde Miller,
Ocie, Missouri, and Carl Miller, Houston, Tex.; a sisters, Mrs.
Jewell Dumas, Houston, Texas; 23 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 3 at 2 p.m. at the
Prewitts Chapel Church, with the Rev. Marvin Brown officiating.
Burial was in the Prewitts Chapel Cemetery under the direction of
the Warren Meadows
