Mavis Jones

  Mrs. Mavis Jones, 58, of Natchitoches, died on Wednesday, April
4, at 3:45 a.m., in Natchitoches, following an extended illness.

  Survivors include her husband, Sam W. Jones of Natchitoches; one
son, William Danny Jones of Clute, Tex.; one daughter, Margie
Janik of Lake Jackson, Tex,; five brothers, J. D. Johnson of
Baytown, Tex., Bob R. Johnson of Shreveport, Willard H. Johnson
of Baton Rouge, Frank Johnson of Elkhart, Kansas, and Luther
Johnson of Hopewell, Virginia; two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Pines,
and Mrs. Myrtle Woods, both of Many, and two grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Many United Pentecostal
Church, on Thursday, April 5, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Billy White
officiating. Burial was in the Marthaville Cemetery, under the
direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
