Jones, 64, died on May 4, in Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Baton Rouge. He was born in Pelican, was a native of Converse, and lived in Baton Rouge for 40 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucille W. Jones; two daughters, Mrs. David R. Durr of Worms, Germany, and Mrs. Larry Cloy of Greenwell Springs; one son, Thomas Gary Jones of Baton Rouge; 3 grandchildren; two brothers, Earl W. Jones of Converse, and Fred C. Jones of Baytown, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. E. W. Burkett, and Mrs. A. O. Grice, both of Converse, and Mrs. J. C. Mynes of Gloster. Funeral services were held in the Welch Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 6, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Ace McVay, and Rev. H. B. Dean officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. He was a veteran of World War II.
