Edward Dawson Jones

  Funeral services for Mr. Edward Dawson Jones of Florien, were
held at Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel, Monday, Jan. 7, at 10
a.m., with Rev. Henry Sims, and Rev. Jeff Flenniken officiating.
Burial was in Union Baptist Cemetery in Florien. Services were
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Jones died at Sabine Medical Center in Many, Saturday, Jan.
5, 1985, at 5:45 p.m. He was 79 years old.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hazel Christine Jones of
Florien; one son, Mr. Eddie Jones of Florien; three step sons,
Mr. Paul Blasingim of Port LaVaca, Tex., Mr. Johnny Blasingim of
Houston, and Mr. Roy Blasingim of Saudi Arabia; two brothers, Mr.
A. A. Jones of Raywood, Tex., and Mr. Frank Jones of Houston; one
daughter, Mrs. Hazel Anita Slater of Florien; 18 grandchildren;
and 10 great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Charles Jett, Eddie Jones Jr., Michael Slater,
Kenneth Slater, Jerry Alan McGlothlin, and Jerry L. Getschal.
Alternate pallbearers were Larry Lee, and Gene Squilli.
