Jones Services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, at 8801 Mansfield Road, for Henry D. Jones, 56, of Shreveport, Tuesday, December 23, 1986, at 11 a.m. Officiating were the Rev. Ed Roberts, associate pastor of Willow Point Baptist Church, and the Rev. Doug Cain of Lakeview United Methodist church. Interment was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. Jones, a native of El Dorado, Ark., entered into rest, Sunday, December 21, 1986, at South Park Hospital. He was a member of Pioneers of America. Mr. Jones was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Vada Meyers Jones of Shreveport; one daughter, Lollie Jones Whitman of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Mavis Fitzenrelter of Hornbeck, and Mrs. Enid Brown of Keithville; three brothers, Harold Jones of Baton Rouge, J. R. Jones of Many, and Thomas A. Jones of Hornbeck; one granddaughter, Kimberly Dean Whitman; and numerous other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Roland Brown, Bobby Bonds, Elma Bridges, Bobby Speight, Bobby Joe McGuirt, and Watson McCreary.
