Rev. Daniel Dixon Jones

  Services for Rev. Daniel Dixon Jones, 80, of Many, were held at
2 p.m., Friday, January 19, at the Beulah Baptist Church in Many,
with Dr. G. Earl Guinn officiating. Burial followed in the Beulah
Cemetery in Many.

  Rev. Jones died Tuesday, January 19, 1990, in Shreveport,
following a lengthy illness. He pastored several churches in
Louisiana and Texas.

  He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Verda Jones of Many;
three daughters, Frances Rogers of Mansfield, Carolyn Claunch of
Ann Arbor, Mich., Madalyn Mathis of Gravsummit, Missouri; three
sisters, Allene Hansen of Spring Branch, Texas, Luciemae Bunies
of Kingwood, Texas, Emmaline Barker of Dallas, Texas; one
brother, Herschell Jones of Cypress, Texas; eight grandchildren;
four great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were his grandsons and nephews.

  Services were under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral
Home.
